Our next dinner meeting is Monday, March 15, 2010, 6:00 p.m., at the Wimberley Community Center. Dinner reservations can be made by emailing Melinda Gumbert, mgumbert@austin.rr.com , or calling her at 847-5092. We need your dinner reservation by March 9, so please email or call Melinda NOW! All reservations must be honored.
Dinner will be prepared by Linda Allen Catering. Dinner cost will be $14.00 per person, payable at the door. Remember, our dinners are BYOB. Coffee, tea and water provided.
Our program will feature Bradford Patterson from the Texas Historical Commission. Mr. Patterson will talk about historical preservation which is not only good for a town’s sense of place and quality of life but also for its bottom line – by increasing the tax base, stabilizing property values and creating affordable residential and commercial spaces. You’ll hear how and what other communities are doing about historical preservation.
